Public WC was installed in a non traditional place - in one of the advertising structures - column. Not only the design of the toilet, but also functionality is different from the ones that are already in a city. Automatic floor and toilet seat washing function as well as disinfection systems were developed and added. Inside there is water and soap for hand washing as well as a hand dryer. The toilet is fully automatic and adjusted for comfortable and hygienic usage. The price per visit is 0.30 EUR and all collected funds for using the service will go directly to the city of Klaipeda.
"JCDecaux" offer such services to many cities worldwide: San Francisco, London, Stockholm, Paris and others. Until today in Lithuania such public toilets were only functioning in Vilnius. Klaipeda's modern public WC has been installed as part of "JCDecaux" contract with a City municipality after winning outdoor advertising tender.
